This elective approaches complex evidentiary issues by demonstrating how to use the rules of evidence in a courtroom.  Applying the rules of evidence through role-playing exercises, students will master the fundamental skills of direct and cross-examination.  The goal of this course is to bridge the gap between the technical requirements of the rules of evidence and the practical uses to which the rules may pertain.  The course will be conducted at the Alameda County Superior Court (1225 Fallon Street) in Oakland.
